I have an HP ENVY 6400 all-in-one printer. Every time I scan, it first goes into a little set of notes --like three musical beeps -- and at the end has an annoying jingling noise. Apparently, quiet mode does not work for the scanner. I have to scan some financial pages while taking care of my terminally-ill relative. I'm in tears--I have to do this, but we live in a small apartment and every time I try to scan, it wakes him up. Is there any way to turn those noises off? I'm willing to take apart the printer to do it.

This link simply takes me to the manual for the printer with information about error codes. This has nothing to do with my problem--which seems to be a normal part of operations for the printer.

Hello @Nina127

I understand

But I believed it could help.

But because it is a standard, there is really no way to remove the beeps.

I´m sorry
