When I print in colour mode from my m254dw from macOS, Windows 11, iPadOS or Linux, some things have a bluish tinge. Light greys especially are hard to distinguish from light blues, and browns look a bit washed out. However, when I print from my Android phone (Samsung), the colours are more accurate and greys look properly grey (although reds look pretty much the same in both cases). In other words, the driver for Android is far more colour accurate than the drivers for those other operating systems.
Clearly, the printer is capable of printing greys properly because Android can make it do so. How can I make the drivers for those other operating systems (and especially macOS and iPadOS) achieve the same colour accuracy as the Android driver?
The only workaround I have come up with so far has been to send image files or PDFs to my phone or an Android virtual machine for printing, which isn’t exactly an ideal solution.
EDIT: One important thing I need to add is that when I print the colour test page from testprinting.com, I cannot see a difference between that page sent from Android and from the other OSs.
Another thing I should add is that I have tried printing from several different apps in macOS, including Apple Photo and Affinity Photo 2, but the results are the same.
