Product: LaserJet Pro MFP M428fdw
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Just bought M428.  Going thru User Manual.  There is a switch with an illuminated light inside Tray 1, located just under the On/Off switch on the front of the machine.  I couldn't find any reference to it in the User Manual. What exactly does it do?  Any harm if I accidentally turn it off?

That is the power switch, it's is covered with a cartridge access door when closed. The switch you press with your fingers is just a plastic tip that presses the actual power switch inside the printer.
