HP Recommended

Is it possible to install drivers on a Mac for a printer (HP 9010) without access to the printer? Printer is at a remote location and I would like to prepare ahead of time for printing on it.

Hi @blue_wizard

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 All-in-One Printer series is AirPrint compatible. Install the printer using the AirPrint driver (This is recommended and the printer has to be connected to the MAC).

You may download the HP driver for the printer from here (Make sure to choose your version of macOS, you may install the driver until one phase and then the printer connection is required)

 

I would suggest installing the driver when the printer is connected to the MAC. Not to worry, the driver installation won't take long.
