I have the same issue with Mac firmware upgrade - The October upgrade has effectively bricked my printer due to 3rd party cartridges. Can anyone give me a link to an older firmware to restore the functionality of what otherwise is a great printer?

Hi @ElaineSuderman,
I'd like to help!
We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I have the same problem and have just fitted a new set of print cartridges. Still get the supply error message. The printer has worked well until last week after a software upgrade. Now won’t work at all. How do I reset it.

I recently fixed the "Supply problem" issue with my LaserJet M254dw. Note that when you get hold of the old firmware updating program, it will not update the printer firmware as long as the printer is in "Supply problem", because the firmware updater works by sending a firmware file as a print job (e.g. check out your printer queue, when pressing uploading), which the printer ignores because of "Supply problem". You therefore need to remove your 3rd party toner, and reinstall your empty HP original toner, as this will make the printer accept print jobs again. Then you can upload the 20200612 firmware.
Enjoy.
