Hi @bobconnor,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand you're experiencing issues printing #10 envelopes on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer, with an error message indicating the paper is "too small." We're here to help.

Although your printer supports a wide range of media types—including various photo, brochure, presentation, and recycled papers—it also supports printing on custom sizes, including envelope formats such as #10, when configured correctly.

Please follow the steps below to ensure proper setup:

1. Load the Envelope:

  • Open Tray 1.
  • Insert the #10 envelopes with the print side facing down and the flap on the left.
  • Slide the paper width guides inward so they rest lightly against the envelope edges without bending them.

2. Set Custom Size on the Printer:

  • On the printer's touchscreen panel, navigate to:
    • Settings > Tray and Paper Management > Tray 1 > Paper Size
  • Select Custom and enter the dimensions for a #10 envelope:
    • Width: 4.13 in
    • Length: 9.5 in
  • Confirm paper type as Plain Paper.

3. Set Envelope Size on Your Computer:

  • When printing from your application (e.g., Microsoft Word):
    • Go to File > Print > Printer Properties (or Preferences)
    • Select Custom Paper Size with dimensions 4.13" x 9.5"
    • Ensure Plain Paper is selected as the media type
    • Set the paper source to Tray 1

4. Update Printer Firmware and Software:
To ensure full functionality and compatibility:

  • Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page
  • Enter your printer model (HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e) and install the latest firmware and full-feature driver package for your operating system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
