I get a pop up saying directing me to "update the drive". When I go do that, it tells me i have the most recent version.

Hi @Johnhu85

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e is stuck in a loop where it asks for a driver update but already has the latest version.

This issue can sometimes be caused by a corrupted driver or a Windows update conflict. Here’s how to fix it:

1. Restart Your Printer & Computer

  • Power off your printer and computer.
  • Unplug the printer for 60 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • Restart your computer and try printing again.

2. Reinstall the Printer Driver

  • Visit the HP Support page for your OfficeJet Pro 8130e.
  • Download the latest driver and firmware.
  • Uninstall the existing driver:
    • Open Device ManagerPrinters.
    • Right-click on your printer and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your computer and install the new driver.

3. Manually Install the Driver via Device Manager

  • Open Device ManagerPrinters.
  • Right-click your printer and select Update Driver.
  • Choose Browse my computer for drivers and point it to the downloaded driver folder.

4. Check Printer Connection

  • If using USB, try a different port.
  • If using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.

Let me know if any of these steps help! I appreciate your patience while we work through this.
