In June my Photosmart 7520 stopped responding to print commands from my Mac Powerbook. I was instructed to delete the printer software and re-install it, but once I deleted it, I was unable to find software to re-install for the Mac. I understand this is because Apple upgraded to 64 bit processor and my only printer is compatible with 32 bit. I have tried many times to get help or find out if there will eventually be a fix so I can continue to use my printer. It also was impossible to buy a replacement printer because printers were not available due to COVID 19. So I have been without a printer for many months. Is thee ever going to be a fix? I am desperate (and obviously not very tech savvy)

@katzor, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
- Do you get any errors while printing?
- Which application are you trying to print from?
- Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
- Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
This model printer is AirPrint compatible. Let us try these steps:
On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings
Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.
- Make sure the printer and the MAC are connected to the same wireless network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.
- Also, check with your Internet service provider if your router is able to forward 'Bonjour packets'.
Check for any software updates on MAC
Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
Perform a ping test to check the connectivity
- Obtain the IP address of the printer by clicking on the Wireless icon on the printer
- On the MAC Go to Spotlight > search for Network utility > select Ping tab > enter the IP address of the printer in the box
- Check the second box that says Send only > 10 pings
- Click on ping > Check the results at the end if any packets are lost
- Note: There should be 0% packet loss, share the results in your next post.
Install the printer using AirPrint driver as shown in step 2 of this document.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
