I will install the drivers tomorrow or the next day as I've got to attend a funeral for a good friend today. Thanks in advance for your help!!! JED935A. I have now put the drivers in, tried to load the 1010 printer and got a reply that the printer couldn't be loaded as the "Module" couldn't be found. I have no idea what is now wrong! Can anyone help me.

@JED935,
Thank you for your response, and I am really sorry to hear about your friend. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue, however, you are still getting errors.
Please try adding the printer using Windows Built-in drivers
Follow the steps below:
• Go to Control Panel - Devices and printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.
• When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.
• Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.
Refer to this document HP printer setup (Windows built-in driver) for help
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I have already replied. It seems that all suggestions involve me going on the net with the subject computer, and I think you folks don't understand that I can't update anything or go on HP support for the computer...I Don't Have The Capability To Connect The Computer To The Internet! It must be installed with what is available without going on the net with it. Is there a compatible Printer for which I can use the driver to install the Deskjet 1010. When I try and install my printer, and it says the driver isn't installed....that is exactly what the popup states for me to do! Is there an HP Computer which is compatible with the Deskjet 1010?

The problem is that my printer (HP 1010) is not listed, and when I use the provided CD, I cam hot able to go on the net, and the computer will not load my printer. I need drivers or a compatible printer which will allow me to install my printer off line. I have no means to connect the subject to the net! Is there a solution?

@JED935A,
Thank you for your response, I understand you are not able to go online as you do not have internet connectivity. However, when you try to add the printer using built-in drivers does it not load any HP printers in the list?
While you respond to that, you may try downloading the software using any other PC as which has internet connectivity or use your phone's hotspot and download the drivers if possible.
If the issue still persists, I'm sending out a private message to assist you with the next course of action. Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it or simply click on this link.
