Hello,
my trusted printer is a hp officejet g95. It works perfectly when using windows 7, but I cannot install a printer driver for it in windows 10. The hp website says that it is supported by windows 10 using the 'windows update' button in the 'add driver' window, but the printer model "officejet g95" or "officejet g series" do not appear in the long list of the HP printer models.
What should I do to be able to print from a windows 10 computer to a hp officejet g95 printer ?

@phdm, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Due to the age of this printer, the printer driver is not available on the HP Support site. If you have already tried installing the printer using windows built-in driver and the printer was not listed, use the generic printer driver from the list which is Deskjet 990c or Deskjet 6980 and then rename the printer.
Refer to this document to know how.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you for your reply, Kumar.
Unfortunately, (and I have read the list twice and carefully in the unfriendly interface from 'Install the printer driver'), there is no 'deskjet 990c' entry nor a 'deskjet 6980' one.
I see 'HP OfficeJet 6950 PCL-3' and 'HP OfficeJet 6960 PCL-3'. Should I use one of those ?

Hello, Kumar,
I finally solved the problem in a four step way :
First power on my 'windows 7 64-bi't computer which has a driver installed for my 'HP OfficeJet G95' printer, and check that the printer is shared.
Secondly install my printer on the Windows 10 computer using 'Select a shared printer by name', then 'Browse...', then finding my other computer (windows 7 64-bit) where the driver is installed, 'Select'ing it, 'Select'ing then the printer on that computer. I had to give a username (in the form COMPUTERNAME\USERNAME) and a password of a local user on that other computer in order to be able to connect to the printer, but when replaying to write this explanation that does not happen anymore. I have now the printer appearing as 'HP OfficeJet G95 on that-other-computer' and I can print a test page on it, which comes out perfectly, but only in black, and telling me 'Color support: No', although my printer is a color printer,.
Thirdly, I redid 'Add a printer or scanner', 'Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings', 'Create a new port', 'Standard TCP/IP Port', 'Next', filled the 'Hostname or IP address' field, then selected 'HP', and now, in the list, 'HP Officejet G95' appears automagically, with also 'HP Deskjet 6980 series' and 'hp deskjet 990c'. I keep wondering why those entries do not appear in the long list that is offered after clicking twice on 'Windows Update'. I choose that new entry 'HP OfficeJet G95' and then click twice on 'Next', I now get the 'Printer sharing' TAB, where I can share or not the printer, and give its location. Clicking once again on 'Next', I get the 'You've successfully added HP OfficeJet G95', with the 'Print a test page' button, and the test page comes out perfectly, with a blue title, and telling me 'Color Support: Yes'.
Fourthly, after clicking 'Finish', the last step is, again in 'Printers & Scanners' which has reappeared on the screen, to click on the printer shared by the other computer 'HP OfficeJet G95 on that-other-computer', and then click on the 'Remove Device' button, and answering 'Yes' to 'Are you sure that you want to remove this device?'
That's All. Why make things easy if one can make them complicated ?
Best regards
