Hi @solena71,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to reset your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-in-One Printer, you can perform a full reset to restore the printer to its factory settings. This can help resolve issues like connectivity problems, errors related to HP Instant Ink, or being stuck on screens such as the alignment page.

Here are the steps to reset your printer:

Steps to Perform a Full Reset on HP OfficeJet Pro 9015

Power Off the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button. If the printer does not turn off, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.

Unplug the Printer:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet as well.
  • Leave the printer unplugged for about 60 seconds.

Reboot the Printer:

  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the back of the printer.
  • Turn on the printer by pressing the power button.

Access the Printer’s Menu:

  • Once the printer is back on, go to the printer’s control panel.

Navigate to Printer Maintenance:

  • Swipe down on the home screen of the printer to open the Dashboard, then touch the Setup icon (looks like a gear or wrench).
  • Scroll down and select Printer Maintenance.

Restore Factory Defaults:

  • Within the Printer Maintenance menu, scroll and select Restore.
  • Choose Restore Factory Defaults from the list.
  • Confirm your choice by selecting Yes or Restore when prompted.

Wait for the Reset to Complete:

  • The printer will begin the process of restoring factory defaults. It will restart during this process.
  • Once complete, the printer will prompt you to go through the initial setup process again (selecting language, country, etc.).

After the Reset

Reconfigure Network Settings:

  • After the reset, you’ll need to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. Go to the Network setup on the printer’s control panel and follow the prompts to reconnect.

Re-enroll in HP Instant Ink: If you have supscribed to instant ink

  • If the printer is not automatically recognizing your HP Instant Ink subscription, you may need to log in to your HP Instant Ink account through HP Smart or the HP website and re-enroll the printer.

Install HP Smart and Re-add the Printer:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device. Remove the printer if it is already listed in the app.
  • Click on Add Printer and follow the prompts to reconnect your printer to the app.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
