Hi @aicram,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP LaserJet 1018 printer was officially supported up to Windows 7, and there might not be official drivers available for Windows 11. However, you can try the following steps to see if you can get the printer to work.

Windows Update:

  • Connect your printer to your Windows 11 computer.
  • Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update."
  • Click on "Check for updates."
  • Windows Update might automatically detect and install the necessary drivers for your HP LaserJet 1018.

HP Support Website:

  • Visit the HP Support website: HP Support.
  • Enter your printer model (HP LaserJet 1018) and navigate to the drivers section.
  • Look for Windows 11 drivers, if available, and download and install them.

Windows Compatibility Mode:

  • Download the Windows 7 drivers for HP LaserJet 1018 from the HP website.
  • Right-click on the downloaded driver file, go to "Properties," and then navigate to the "Compatibility" tab.
  • Check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for," and select Windows 7 from the dropdown menu.
  • Click "Apply" and then "OK."
  • Run the installer again.

Windows Built-in Drivers:

  • Connect your printer to your Windows 11 computer.
  • Open "Settings" > "Devices" > "Printers & scanners."
  • Click on "Add a printer or scanner" and see if Windows can automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.

If none of these steps work, and HP hasn't released official Windows 11 drivers for the LaserJet 1018, you may need to consider using a compatible printer or using the printer on a computer with a supported operating system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
