Hi @Dbstoner,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding wireless connection issues with the HP OfficeJet 8010 All-in-One Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Printer Connectivity:

  • Ensure that your printer is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your MacBook Air.
  • Verify that the Wi-Fi signal on the printer is strong and stable. Look for any error messages on the printer’s control panel.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your MacBook Air and the printer. This can often resolve temporary connectivity issues.

Re-check Network Settings:

  • On your printer, go to the network settings to verify the SSID (network name) it is connected to. Make sure it matches the one your MacBook Air is using.
  • Ensure that the printer is not in offline mode on your MacBook Air.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Go to the HP website and download the latest HP Easy Start or printer drivers for your HP OfficeJet 8010.
  • Remove the existing printer driver on your MacBook Air and install the new one using the downloaded driver package.

Printer Queue Management:

  • Clear the printer queue of any stuck print jobs. On your Mac, go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners," select your printer, and clear any job in the queue.

Firewall/Security Settings:

  • Ensure that firewall or security software on your Mac isn’t blocking the printer's access.

Update Printer Firmware:

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

AirPrint and Manual IP:

  • If you're using AirPrint, make sure it is enabled and that your printer is listed as an option.
  • Assign a static IP to the printer to avoid connectivity issues caused by dynamic IP changes.

I hope this helps.
