OUt of the box HP LaserJet pro 4001DNE has been stuck on HP software is setting up your printer for over 24 hours. How can I bypass this and manually set up this network printer

Hi,

Do you see the error within the HP Smart app or within the HP Easy Start application?

 

Is the printer already connected to your home network with an Ethernet cable or not?

Does the printer have internet access? You will need that regardless of driver or software you are going to use. For simply printing I would suggest the new HP Smart UPD as a good option for Windows 10 and 11 systems.
