Try these steps:
Verify Physical Setup:
- Ensure that all packaging materials have been removed, including any plastic layers covering the printer.
- Check that ink cartridges are installed correctly and securely, and that the paper tray is loaded properly.
Re-run Printer Setup:
- From the printer’s control panel, access the setup menu and follow the setup instructions again, making sure to complete each step.
Ensure HP Smart App Configuration:
- Install the HP Smart App on your Windows 10 computer.
- Open the app and ensure that the printer is added and showing online.
- Follow any prompts within the app to complete the setup, such as firmware updates or additional printer settings.
Use HP Easy Start Software:
- Download the HP Easy Start software from HP's support page specifically for the OfficeJet Pro 8132e.
- Run HP Easy Start, which can sometimes resolve incomplete setup problems by ensuring your printer is correctly configured.
Check Printer and Network Settings:
- Print a network configuration page directly from the printer to confirm it is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure that both your printer and the computer are on the same network.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Via the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart App, ensure that your printer firmware is up to date.
Troubleshoot Windows Settings:
- Reinstall the printer driver through the “Devices and Printers” section in Control Panel.
- Ensure there are no old printer installations that might conflict.
Software and Driver Reinstallation:
- Uninstall any current printer drivers through "Programs and Features" in Control Panel.
- Reinstall drivers using the latest software from HP’s support site or HP Smart App.
I hope this helps.
