Delete printer driver in Windows
Delete printer driver in Windows, you do.

A printer is running bored in Windows and that printing is not working properly or that the computer can not connect to the printer. Occasionally, a reinstallation of the printer helps, but unfortunately it does not always solve the problems.

Instead of spending time debugging, it's usually best to completely delete the printer and printer driver and start over. A printer driver is a piece of software that allows the computer to communicate with the printer.

When you both delete the printer and remove the drivers, you are sure that there are no old and, if not, updated printer drivers on the computer.

If you're ready to replace your old printer, read this purchase guide to help find the right printer.

Remove printer and printer programs
Remove the printer in Devices and Printers. To do this, right-click the printer and choose Delete.

If an application is installed to control the printer setup, printouts, etc., the program must also be deleted.

Normally, the program can be removed in the Control Panel under Remove an application.

Delete printer driver in Windows
When you are sure that the printer and possibly. associated programs have been removed from the computer, make sure that the driver is also uninstalled.

Click Start in the bottom left corner and type printui / s / t2 in the search box

Delete printer driver in Windows 7

In the image you get, you can see all the printer drivers installed on your computer.

To delete a printer driver, select it with the mouse and click Remove.

If you are asked if you want to remove both drivers and driver packages, answer Yes.

If there are drivers from old printers you no longer use, delete them as well.

Restart your computer after removing all old printer drivers.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I understand that you are unable to print in color.

I'll try my best to help you out.

Are you using genuine HP cartridges? Are you able to make a color Photocopy?

Let's start with a Printer Reset.

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.
(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Then clean the cartridges if the issue persists.

  1. Make sure to load the input tray with plain, white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, then touch Setup.

  3. Touch Tools, then touch Clean Cartridges.

The printer prints a Print Quality Diagnostic report.

Figure : Example of the Print Quality Diagnostic report

Image: Example of the Print Quality Diagnostic report
  4. Examine the print quality on the Print Quality Diagnostic report.

    • If the print quality is acceptable, click No. You can stop troubleshooting.

    • If the print quality is unacceptable, click Yes when prompted to perform the next level of cleaning.

NOTE: If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform both levels of cleaning again.
