Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that your printer is not printing in color and the duplex option is not available, I am glad to assist you.
This seems to be a driver issue, follow these steps to fix the issue

- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Restart the PC again.
Download and install printer using HP Smart app.

I did your step by step and the printer now prints in color. Still no duplexing. Under general preferences it says duplex: yes .
Yet it does not. Goes to manual asking to flip page. The duplex works fine in copy mode ...doesn't work in printing.
