office jet 8610
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Installed WIN 11,did not like it & rolled back to Win 10.

Printer is  not  working so I  re-installed the drivers to no avail. I called HP & was told the 8610 is obsolete, despite buying it 2 yrs ago & was told to upgrade  my technology.  Can anyone pls tell me where I might find a workable driver to install?

Thank you

Hi, appreciate your help! Neither  driver is working  for my PC.  I had printer issues after doing a rollback from Win11 about 2 weeks ago, but was ale to re-install drivers to print & scan. 2 days ago the scanner was defaulting to photos, so Icorrected that and then the printer quit communicating with my pc. When I **bleep**, all they want to do is "u[date my technology..."
Any other thoughts are welcomed!

Then you should uninstall the complete printer software first: Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list.

  1. then restart the system
  2. install the new software 1)
  3. restart the system
  4. then install 2)

What kind of software problem is displayed?
When was this software problem displayed?
- during the installation?
- or after the reboot?

OK, then you must proceed like this

The HP software must be completely uninstalled and removed of the system.

disable them, better uninstall them.

Next...

Really appreciate the detailed instructions. They are similar to what I have done. I can scan & copy, just cannot print.

Thinking the drivers are fine, that it is a MSFT software issue.
