I forgot the password  for my printer. got a new computer and I can't get them to hook up without a password

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Let's do a network reset on the Printer: 

 

On the printer's control panel -

1) Touch the "Wireless icon".

2) Touch the "Settings" icon.

3) Select "Restore Network Settings".

4) Select "Yes".

 

Once done connect the Printer to the Wi-Fi: 1. From the printer control panel, touch ( Wireless ). 2. Touch ( Settings ). 3. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard. 4. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.

 

The you can install the HP Smart App on your Computer to hook the Printer and the Computer: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04675142
