Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.

I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Photosmart Wireless All-in-One Printer and it prints only in black. Other colors are not printed though all ink cartridges have full ink.

To assist you better, I would like to know the following information:

  • Is the printer able to make a photocopy with all colors? If yes then it indicates that the printer and ink cartridges are fine.
  • Did any software changes or update happen on the Mac?

While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
  • Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

Please download and run the HP Easy Start by clicking on this link.

Now, try printing again. If the issue persists then let us attempt to install the inbuilt printer drivers in Mac OS:

  • From System Preferences, click on Print & Scan.
  • Click the Plus sign.
  • Select the listed HP Photosmart Wireless B109n-z (This printer's drivers should work).
  • Click the drop-down menu next to Use or Print Using and click on Select Printer Software.
  • Select the HP Photosmart Wireless B109n-z from the list.
  • Click OK to confirm your selection and add the printer, then try printing using the configured print queue.

I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.

Feel free to let me know the outcome. I'll be glad to assist you.

Good luck! 🙂
