HP OfficeJet 5255. I have printer that is printing at a slight angle across the page instead of straight. I printed alignment page and scanned, but that did not fix the problem. Alignment page itself appeared to be printed at a slight angle, so I don't see how the scan could have fixed, because after running HP smart it did not help correct the problem.

Hi @cpyle,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet 5255 is printing at a slight angle, there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.
- Check Paper Alignment: Make sure that the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray. Improper paper alignment can lead to skewed printing.
- Inspect Paper Guides: Ensure that the paper guides in the tray are snug against the paper. Loose or misaligned guides can cause printing issues.
- Print Quality Diagnostic Page: Print a diagnostic page to check if the issue persists. This can usually be done through the printer's control panel or the HP Smart app. Examine the diagnostic page for any alignment issues.
- Clean Printhead: The printhead may be dirty, leading to printing problems. You can use the printer's built-in cleaning function to clean the printhead. This option is often available in the printer settings or the HP Smart app.
- Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. HP often releases firmware updates to address performance and printing issues.
- Check for Obstructions: Make sure there are no obstructions in the paper path or around the printhead. Even small bits of paper or debris can cause printing problems.
- Perform Manual Alignment: Some printers allow you to manually align the printhead. Check your printer's manual or settings to see if this option is available.
Remember to consult your printer's manual or the HP support website for model-specific instructions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
