Hi @Keowee21,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for sharing the details. The error message on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 (Model N911A), indicating a problem with the printhead even after cleaning and reinstalling, suggests that the printhead may be damaged or electrically faulty.

1. Power Reset

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

2. Remove and Reinstall the Printhead Properly

Follow HP’s official guide: 👉 HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Printers - Replace the printhead | HP® Support

Steps include:

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Wait for the carriage to stop moving.
  • Lift the latch handle and gently remove the printhead.
  • Clean the electrical contacts with a lint-free cloth (avoid touching nozzles).
  • Reinsert the printhead and close the latch.
  • Install SETUP cartridges if you received a replacement printhead kit.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
