Hi @jackisadog

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the situation clearly. When Windows 11 shows “drivers unavailable” while trying to install printer drivers, it usually means the system isn’t able to fetch the correct package automatically.

Let’s go through structured steps to resolve this:

Step 1: Confirm Windows Updates

  • Open SettingsWindows Update.
  • Select Check for updates and install all pending updates.
  • Restart the computer once updates are complete.

Step 2: Use the HP App

  • Install and open the HP App from the Microsoft Store.
  • Sign in if prompted, then add your printer.
  • The app will automatically detect and install the correct drivers.

Step 3: Manually Add the Printer

  • Go to SettingsBluetooth & devicesPrinters & scanners.
  • Select Add device and wait for your printer to appear.
  • If it doesn’t, choose Add manually and enter the printer’s IP address or hostname.

Step 4: Download Drivers Directly

  • Visit the official HP support page.
  • Enter your printer model and select Windows 11 as the operating system.
  • Download and install the Full Feature Software and Drivers package.

Step 5: Run Diagnose & Fix

  • Open the HP App.
  • Select your printer, then go to SupportDiagnose & Fix.
  • Follow the guided steps to repair driver or connection issues.

Step 6: Verify Printer in Devices

  • Press Windows + R, type control printers, and press Enter.
  • Ensure your printer is listed and set as default.
  • If not, right-click the printer and select Set as default printer.

By following these steps, the driver installation should complete successfully and the printer will be ready to use.
