Hi @LJ2244,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "Missing or Failed Printhead" error message on your HP Inkjet 6600 printer indicates that there is a problem with the printhead. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Check the printhead contacts: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Open the ink cartridge access door and remove the printhead. Check the contacts on the printhead and the printer for any debris or damage. Clean the contacts with a soft, lint-free cloth and reinsert the printhead.
  • Update the firmware: Check if there is any firmware update available for your printer model. Updating the firmware may help in resolving any issues with the printhead.
  • Reset the printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This may help in resetting the printer and resolving the error.

Note: Make sure to use genuine HP printheads and cartridges to avoid any issues with the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
