HP LaserJet Pro P1102 Printer

Several months ago my P1102 stopped working. As I did not manage to solve the issue directly, I've decided to format the disc and do a clean install of Windows 7, with upgrade to Windows 10. Everything worked, the printer was printing.

A few days ago (and perhaps several updates ago), printer has stopped working again - it was shown as offline. 

 

I removed the printer and wanted to install it again, but the installation from the file "hp_LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution-v20180815-50157037_1" failed - "the printer was not installed"

When I connect the printer now, the window with "CD found, install from CD" pops up, which was the way I installed the printer for the first time, now it fails also.

 

So I tried the proposed solutions:

  1. followed steps suggested by Andr-1611 in https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Setup-Software-Drivers/Driver-re-installation-fails-after-Wind...
  2. tried to uninstall following Windows Updates as suggested in https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Setup-Software-Drivers/printer-installation-failed-p1102/m-p/8... and https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Setup-Software-Drivers/Driver-re-installation-fails-after-Wind... 
  • KB5015807
  • KB5015878
  • KB5016616 
  • but neither of the updates above is installed (according to " wusa /uninstall /kb:KB ID"

My system is: Windows 10 Pro, version 22H2,  build 19045.2546

All available updates (even optional) are installed.

 

I tried the tool "HP Print and Scan Doctor", it finds my printer but it claims it's not installed, and it requests me to download and install the drivers. But the installation fails (as described above).

 

I installed the Ubuntu on the PC, it works. Laptops with Win7/64bit use also printer without problem. So only Win10 has troubles. Can you please help?

 

The windows language is Czech, so all errors and messages were translated, therefore do not need match exactly the English errors.

 Windows detects the printer and suggests to launch app "HP smart".

 When connecting the printer, the installation from "CD" / "HP smart install" is suggested. It unfortunatelly fails also. (Translation: Installation has failed. Try following steps: disconnect USB, turn off/on, connect USB)

 The suggested problematic Windows Updates are not installed in the computer, when trying to uninstall with using command line.
