Hi @omowumi,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer keeps printing status report pages continuously, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

  • Cancel the Print Job: The first thing to do is to cancel the print job from your computer or device. Sometimes, a stuck print job can cause the printer to keep printing.
  • Check Paper Tray: Make sure the paper tray is properly loaded with the correct size and type of paper. Sometimes, an empty or incorrectly loaded paper tray can trigger the printer to print status reports.
  • Reset Printer: Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP website. Updating the firmware can resolve many issues.
  • Check Printer Settings: Access the printer's settings menu and look for any settings related to status report printing. Make sure they are configured correctly.
  • Check Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer or device. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing issues.
  • Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer. However, be aware that this will reset all settings to their default values, so you'll need to reconfigure the printer afterward.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a hardware problem with the printer itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
