If the lamp on your HP DeskJet 2360 is blinking green and the printer is not printing, this typically indicates an issue that needs troubleshooting. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you diagnose and resolve the problem:

1. Check Printer Status

Power and Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to a power source and turned on.
  • Verify that all cables (power and USB) are securely connected.

Check for Error Messages:

  • Look at the printer’s display panel or any error messages on your computer for more details.

2. Check Printer and Ink Cartridges

Inspect Ink Cartridges:

  • Open the printer’s cartridge access door.Check if the ink cartridges are properly installed and seated correctly.
  • Remove the cartridges and reinsert them to ensure a good connection.

Check Ink Levels:

  • If possible, check the ink levels through the printer software on your computer. Low or empty cartridges might cause issues.

Clean Cartridges and Contacts:

  • Clean the contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer with a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol to remove any ink residue.

3. Reset the Printer

  1. Perform a Hard Reset:
    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.Wait for about 60 seconds.Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

4. Check for Paper Jams

Inspect for Paper Jams:

  • Open the paper tray and access areas where paper might get stuck.
  • emove any jammed paper carefully.

Check Paper Path:

  • Ensure there is no paper or foreign object obstructing the paper path.

5. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

Update Drivers:

  • Go to the HP Support website.Search for your DeskJet 2360 and download the latest drivers.

Reinstall Drivers:

  • Uninstall the current printer driver from your computer.Reinstall the driver you just downloaded.

6. Run HP Printer Diagnostics

  1. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:
    • Download and install HP Print and Scan Doctor.Run the tool to diagnose and fix printing issues.

7. Check Printer Settings

Review Printer Settings:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.Right-click your printer and select See what’s printing.
  • Ensure that no documents are stuck in the print queue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
