HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer

Printer screen will not return to home page.  I was returning to original setting and now the screen has a foreign language and is locked.

Hi @10214,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand what happened. Since the printer is now showing a foreign language and you cannot get back to the Home screen, the first step is to restore the language through the printer's control panel settings rather than performing another network reset.

On the HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e, please try this:

  1. From the printer display, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Dashboard.
  2. Select the Setup/Settings icon (the gear).
  3. Look for Preferences or Printer Maintenance.
  4. Select Language and choose English.
  5. Confirm the selection and allow the printer to return to the Home screen.

If you cannot identify the correct option because of the language currently displayed, please take a clear photo of the printer screen and post it here. We can identify the menu you are currently on and guide you from there.

Also, please let us know what you were trying to reset immediately before the language changed. If the printer is still locked on the same screen after selecting the language, don't perform another reset yet.

HP currently lists the OfficeJet Pro 9125e support page with the User Guide and troubleshooting resources, so we can also check the exact procedure for your configuration if the screen remains inaccessible.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
