My instant INK account was temporarily suspended and now my account is up to date; however now my printer is in the error state/offline and won't print.

Hi @BlueManakin7417,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Instant Ink account was recently reactivated but your printer is now offline or in an error state, here’s how to get it back online and printing again.

1. Restart All Devices

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the wall.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router and the device you're printing from (computer or phone).
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on after 60 seconds.

2. Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

  • On the printer control panel, go to Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Settings.
  • Reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Make sure the Wireless light is solid blue—this means it's connected.

3. Sign In to HP Smart

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  • Sign in with the same HP account used for Instant Ink.
  • If prompted, reclaim or reconnect your printer to your account.

4. Run Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart

  • In the HP Smart app:
    • On macOS: Click the printer name in the top menu > Diagnose & Fix.
    • On Windows: Click the wrench icon in the lower left.
  • Follow the on-screen steps to resolve any account or connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
