No, you did not receive the wrong printer.

The 2130 series includes your particular 2038 model.

It might just be a difference of where you purchased it (region / location on the planet).

The difference might be from which retailer you purchased the printer.

For example, (in the USA), printers purchased from Best Buy might be in some way "unique" to that retailer - and / or the printer is essentially the same and just has its own name / designation.

If you look up the printer's Website Homepage, you will find the documents, drivers (software), firmware, and Product Information for your model series.

It is normal that regardless of the particular model you have, that the software for that printer is used on all the models in that printer series.

If there is a difference between models, it is usually noted in the Specifications.  For example, if one model in a printer series supports borderless printing, but another model in that same series does not support borderless prints, the Specifications will likely note which printer does / does-not support that feature.  (NOTE:  The "example" is not meant to be accurate / precise, it is intended to illustrate a possible difference between two printers.)

Another place you might find noted differences (if there are any) is in the User Guide.
