Product: HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer

I have an older LaserJet pro P1102w printer. I'm trying to set it up on my MacBook but can't access any software that will let my computer and printer talk to each other. I'm running into dead ends on the internet. I need a person who knows how to work around  this to walk me through

please clarify what macOS version you are using,
