Product: photosmart 6525
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

I had a computer crash and had to reinstall XP. My printer recognizes the printer but can't find the software. If the printer came with a disk I must have used it to install but I can't find the disk so not sure if I had one. I can't seem to find downloadable software on the HP website.

 

Any suggestions?

Hi,

If you may have already connected the printer with a USB cable to the computer, please unplug the USB cable.

From the Control Panel > Printers and Faxes, delete any instance of the printer and restart the computer.

 

Download and install below drivers, be sure to connect the USB only when the install wizard asks to do so:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL43742/mp-108722-3/PS6520_1315-1.exe
