I have a newly installed Envy 4512.  Test page printed fine.  But when I tried to print a 33 page pdf, two pages printed then 2 blank pages, then done!  Any suggestions?

Hi @RichNewark,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Check Printer Settings:

Ensure that the printer settings are correctly configured. Verify that the paper size and type settings match the paper loaded in the printer.

2. Update Printer Drivers:

Make sure the printer drivers are up-to-date. Download the latest drivers from the HP support page.

3. Check PDF File:

The issue might be with the PDF file itself. Try printing another document to see if the problem persists. Ensure the PDF is not corrupted and is formatted correctly.

4. Printer Connection:

Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. Check the connection cable or Wi-Fi settings.

5. Printer Queue:

Cancel All Print Jobs: Clear the printer queue to remove any stuck print jobs. You can do this by going to your printer settings and cancelling all print jobs.

Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.

6. Check for Error Messages:

Go to the printer’s display panel or your computer’s HP printer software and check for any error messages or warnings that might indicate what the issue is.

7. Reprint the Document:

Try reprinting the 33-page PDF file, but break it down into smaller chunks (e.g., 10 pages at a time) to see if the printer handles shorter print jobs more effectively.

8. Check Print Settings in Adobe Acrobat:

If you are printing from Adobe Acrobat, try the following: - Print as Image: In Adobe Acrobat, select the Print dialog box, then click Advanced and select Print as Image. - Update Adobe Acrobat: Make sure your Adobe Acrobat software is up-to-date.
