HP DeskJet 4152e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Smart printing was working fine but 6 months ago, it stopped syncing with the printer. It still prints and everything works, but it doesn't register the number of copies I've made.

Hi @tlw808,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for your patience! If your HP DeskJet 4152e is printing fine but the HP Smart app is no longer syncing copy counts, this is likely due to a sync issue between the printer and HP Cloud services, especially if you're using HP+ features or Instant Ink.

Here’s how to fix it:

1. Sign Out and Back Into HP Smart

  • Open the HP Smart app.
  • Go to Account Settings and sign out.
  • Close the app completely.
  • Reopen it and sign back in.
  • Re-add your printer if needed.

2. Reclaim the Printer

Sometimes the printer loses its cloud registration:

  • In HP Smart, remove the printer.
  • Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons on the printer until the Power light blinks (this resets Wi-Fi setup mode).
  • Re-add the printer in HP Smart and follow the setup steps.

3. Use “Diagnose & Fix” in HP Smart

  • Open HP Smart.
  • Go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Let it run and apply any recommended fixes.

4. Update HP Smart App

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
