HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer

Received error code 0xc19a0003. Got that cleared out by cleaning head.  Then it said to align and calibrate.  Did that. Says that it was unsuccessful.  What do I do now?

Hi @Judy230,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the error code 0xc19a0003 typically relates to a printhead issue, and it seems like the printer is having trouble aligning and calibrating even after cleaning the printhead. Here are a few steps to help resolve this:

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds and plug it back in.
  • Turn on the printer and try the alignment and calibration again.

Check the Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are correctly installed and not low on ink.
  • Even if the cartridges are new, sometimes they may not be installed properly, causing issues during calibration.
  • Remove and reinsert the cartridges to make sure they are seated correctly.

Perform a Printhead Cleaning Again:

  • Since you’ve already cleaned the printhead, try cleaning it once more, but this time choose a deeper cleaning option from the printer's control panel or software (if available).

Align the Printhead Manually:

  • Some printers allow for manual alignment from the printer’s menu. Check the printer’s manual for this option.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts for alignment and ensure the paper loaded is suitable for printing.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Sometimes outdated firmware can cause issues with calibration and alignment. Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer via the HP support website or the HP Smart app.

Try a Different Set of Cartridges:

  • If you have a spare set of genuine HP ink cartridges, try installing them to rule out any cartridge-related issues that might be affecting the alignment and calibration.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
