@BdBoyz07, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having trouble with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 not recognizing new ink cartridges, and you're seeing an error related to the cartridge chip. Let's walk through some steps to resolve this issue.

Check Cartridge Compatibility

Make sure the cartridges you're using are genuine HP cartridges and are compatible with the OfficeJet Pro 9015. Non-HP or refilled cartridges may trigger chip errors.

Clean the Cartridge and Printer Contacts

Sometimes, ink or debris on the chip or contacts can cause recognition issues.

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Remove the cartridges.
  • Gently clean the gold-colored contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water.
  • Let everything dry for 5 minutes, then reinstall the cartridges.

Reset the Printer

A simple reset can sometimes clear chip-related errors.

  • With the printer on, unplug the power cord from the back.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn the printer on.

Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware may not recognize newer cartridge chips.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
