Hi @dave19448

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining—I'm really sorry your HP DeskJet 2855e scans successfully but won’t print. That kind of partial functionality can be frustrating, especially when everything seems connected and ready.

Let’s walk through a few steps that can help restore full printing capability:

Step-by-Step Fix for HP DeskJet 2855e Not Printing

1. Run HP’s Diagnose & Fix Tool

This tool checks for print queue blocks, driver issues, and connection problems.

This often resolves silent print failures without affecting your settings.

2. Check Printer Status in Windows

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
  • Select your HP DeskJet 2855e
  • Make sure it’s set as default and not paused or offline
  • Click Open print queue and clear any stuck jobs

This ensures Windows is actively sending jobs to the correct printer.

3. Reinstall the Full HP Driver Package

Generic drivers may allow scanning but block printing.

This restores full compatibility and advanced print controls.

4. Try Printing from a Different App

  • Open a simple document in Notepad or WordPad
  • Try printing from there

This helps rule out app-specific formatting issues.

Let me know what happens after running the Diagnose & Fix tool and reinstalling the driver—I’ll guide you further if needed.

You're doing everything right by checking the basics and staying proactive.
