I have an HP envy 6000 printer which I've had for 5 years but have just bought a new desktop computer as the old one died and I cannot get it to connect to wifi. I ahve tried every bit of advice I can find online - every bit of turning things off and on again, pressing and holding buttons and so on but to no avail.
I have just ordered a cable to connect the two but would much rather do it wirelessly - can anyone help?

Can reset the printer wireless to defaults then use the HP Smart app to setup and connect printer to the network again?

Let's try a Restore to factiory defaults:

This will reset the printer back to a state that is similar to factory settings.

Is the Bluetooth on the Computer turned on when trying to setup the printer?
Which network is the computer connected to? Is it to a 6GHz network? Try to connect the computer to a 2.4GHz network and setup and connect the printer.
Was the printer is any error state or it's in a Setup mode? (no error blinking lights)

Hi
Did the edge lighting glow purple when a reset was done? Purple means it's in the setup mode, else, the app cannot detect the printer during setup.
The wireless Led will only turn on once it's connected.

Hi,
When it stopped - meaning after going through the printer discovery on HP Smart app to connect the printer to the network?
Was there a prompt to press the "i" button on the printer during the setup and was the HP smart setup successful - meaning there is the printer dashboard seen after it's connected to the network?
