printhead problem

I'm convinced that I got a lemon.  2 hours of trying to get past "printhead problem" trying to set up a brand new printer.  There is no plastic on the cartridges.  Tried cleaning the connections with alcohol.  Added the new printer to my  wifi.  Gently took print cartridge in and out several times.  Unplugged everything, waiting 2 minutes and restarted everything.  It still says printhead problem and won't go any further.  Ready to take it back to Staples 😞

These videos were created by HP support.  Review the unboxing video.  It helped me with the 5101 tank printer.   Printers are not plug and play unfortunately.

if you still have a problem contact HP since the printer is under warranty.

Sign in to your support page
Select the product you need help with and scroll down to support options.
Select "Contact us". You can change country and language if necessary.

Staples has tech support that does setup. I actually did not know this
