To assist you better, could you please confirm:

  • The exact HP printer model.
  • When did the issue first start?
  • Have you recently replaced or reinstalled the printheads?
  • Are you seeing any other error messages on the printer display?

In the meantime, kindly try the troubleshooting steps outlined in this HP guide: HP Smart Tank Printer Displays "Printhead Missing". This document covers checking the printhead installation, cleaning the electrical contacts, and reseating the printheads correctly - Click here . 

If the issue persists after following the guide, please let us know the results, and we'll be happy to assist further.
