Hi @FrankieK1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Printing 4x6 cards on your HP LaserJet Pro M130 can be a bit tricky, but it’s definitely doable. Here are the steps you can follow to ensure it prints correctly:
1. Adjust the Paper Tray
- Make sure to adjust the bottom tray to fit the 4x6 size. Slide the side guides so they touch the edges of the paper without bending it.
2. Set Paper Size in Printer Settings
- Open the Control Panel on your computer and go to Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your HP LaserJet Pro M130 and select Printer Properties.
- Navigate to the Printing Preferences tab.
- Look for the Paper/Quality or Page Setup section and select Custom Size.
- Enter the dimensions for 4x6 inches (width: 4 inches, height: 6 inches) and save the settings.
3. Adjust Document Settings
- When you’re ready to print your document, ensure that the page size in your software (like Word or a photo editing program) is set to 4x6.
- Check the print layout settings to ensure that it fits the 4x6 format correctly.
4. Select the Right Tray
- In the print dialog, select the correct paper tray (the one set for 4x6) to ensure the printer pulls from the right source.
5. Test Print
- Before doing a full run, print a test page to confirm the alignment and size.
6. Check for Updates
- Ensure your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes, older drivers can cause printing issues.
7. Use Quality Paper
- Use quality 4x6 card stock that is compatible with laser printers. Check the manufacturer’s guidelines to ensure it’s suitable.
8. Check Printer Settings on the Computer
- Make sure your printer settings on your computer match the paper size you’ve set in the tray.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
