After being forced to update HP Smart, which required creating a user account, printing is now SIGNIFICANTLY slower than it's ever been and HP Smart keeps displaying "Printer status unknown" even though it shows cartridge levels and never had a problem before I was forced to update HP Smart. I have to wonder if this was done deliberately to force people to buy newer printers. This is not a LAN problem and Windows Device Manager shows no problems with the driver. The printer prints a few sentences, pauses for a few seconds, then prints a few more sentences, pauses, then completes printing the page; it never did this before the HP Smart update. Cartridge levels are 85%. Anyone else having problems with the new version of HP Smart?

You are welcome.
I am trying to figure out what is going on with the "Windows" version, too.
Glad you found it.
