Just bought a HP OJ 6830 to replace my HP 6500 wireless printer that had a ink system failure.
I noticed as I was walking by it a while after I set it up, the control panel dispaly said download was 70% complete.
What is it downloading? And is there a way to control that so I know what is coming down and where it is going on my netwrok?
Just not used to this model
Thanks

Hi,
Can be one of two things (can be both for new printers): new firmware and/or newer drivers/software. Many printers could be 3 to 6 months old when opening their boxes therefore it needs to be updated.
After the first time, probably once or twice a year, it may do this again specially when Microsoft or Apple release new OSes.
