macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Hello. So I'm trying to connect my printer to my MacBook Air M1 (bigsur) via usb. I believe the printer is recognized by the laptop but I cannot print because the connection says "idle". I tried removing and adding the printer. resetting the system. It just doesn't seem to work 😞 Hope someone can help me.

Thank you in advance and merry Christmas!
