Here's a conundrum that I hope someone can shed some light on:
I have an HP MFP M283fdw printer at home. I also have two computers: a personal laptop and a work-issued laptop. I can successfully use the Add Printer from Windows to connect to and install that printer on my personal computer.
However, when I try to do the same with my domain computer, the installation looks like it's going to be successful, but at the 95% mark it stops and fails with a "driver unavailable" message. The printer is still in my list of installed devices, but cannot be used. I have tested this with another domain PC and the result is the same.
And here's the kicker: if I bring the printer to work and connect it to the wi-fi network at work, the printer installs without issue. I can print to it just fine. But once I take it back home and put it on my home wi-fi and try connecting again, the installation fails.
Anyone have any ideas?
