It's not from turning off or on. I scanned documents perfectly yesterday in the afternoon but unable to do today. According previous replies we need to perform an NVRAM Reset to unlock but not instructions how to do it. Hopefully someone from support will help shortly

- Unplug the power cable and wait for 1 minute. Then keep pressing the power button for 30 seconds (still with power cable unplugged). Plug power cable back and power on M179 to see if it helps.
- Perform NVRAM: Select and hold the up arrow and the Cancel buttons simultaneously. Keep them depressed as you turn the printer on.
- Perform a factory default on the printer. The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device. Follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Hi.
Done the point 1 and 2 and it does not work, point 2 does not do the NVram reset at all. How do i do the Point 3. On the printer control, i cannot find factory reset, logon to web console, there are no option about it too. Hope this can be resolved.

hi,
I'm sorry this didn't work for you.
I complete 1 and 2 and worked for me:
- Unplug the power cable and wait for 1 minute. Then keep pressing the power button for 30 seconds (still with power cable unplugged). Plug power cable back and power on M179 to see if it helps.
- Perform NVRAM: Select and hold the up arrow and the Cancel buttons simultaneously. Keep them depressed as you turn the printer on.
Hopefully, someone from support will be in touch soon
