Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just got an Officejet Pro 9015e. Trying to get it to use my default email client - Thunderbird. Not clear how to do it.

The HP Smart application uses the sender email address added to the Windows Mail application.

 

If you want to use Thunderbird to send your print / scan emails, you must install and use the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software

 

The full Driver includes HP Scan

HP Scan supports using Thunderbird as the "sender".

 

Example - HP Scan - Save as Email

This worked perfectly. Why the recommended software setup is the HP Smart app I'll never know. I find it cumbersome and incomplete.
