The HP Smart application uses the sender email address added to the Windows Mail application.
If you want to use Thunderbird to send your print / scan emails, you must install and use the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software.
The full Driver includes HP Scan.
HP Scan supports using Thunderbird as the "sender".
