Bought a new HP ENVY 6055e about a month ago, installed it with no problems. Now trying to get help, first question is always serial number, but when i very, very carefully type it in, all i get is "please enter a valid serial number"

Hi Irwin6, thanks for your offer of help.
[Personal Information Removed]
using windows products, desktop and laptops, to print from, not printing one specific thing, but a wide range from emails, financial/tax documents, or just articles a friend sends me.
I used to have a 6000 printer that stopped working but it is still listed as a printer choice when i try to print something. i mention this because when i got this new printer, also a 6000 model, and set it up, i still see the old printer as the only 6000 series choice in my list of printers.
