Thanks for choosing HP printer.
Setting up an HP printer on a computer running Microsoft Windows 11 can be done with the following steps:
Unbox and Turn On the Printer:
- Connect the printer to a power source and turn it on.
- Follow the instructions provided to load paper and install the ink or toner cartridges.
Install HP Software:
- Insert the HP printer software CD if available:
- If the CD does not start automatically, click Start, click Run, and then browse to and double-click the SETUP.EXE file in the root directory of the CD.
- Alternatively, download the latest printer software and driver from the HP Support website.
Connect the Printer:
- For a USB Connection:
- After starting the software installer, follow the prompts until asked to connect the printer.
- Connect the printer to the computer using a USB cable.
- Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- For Network Connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet):
- Ensure the printer is connected to the network.
- During software installation, select the network option to connect the printer.
- Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Add the Printer:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Click Add a Printer or Scanner.
Print a Test Page:
- After the installation, print a test page to ensure the printer is functioning correctly. This option is usually available at the end of the installation process.
