HP DeskJet 3755
Microsoft Windows XP

my 90 year old elderly mother is scared to death of the internet but uses her 20 year old window XP computer daily. the old HP printer died after 20 years. I asked HP if they have one for windows XP and they said the the HP 3755 will work fine.

I bought a USB by printer cable and plugged it into the pc.... it say's to install the CD... it didn't come with a CD it wants the info online... so I came to my pc and downloaded the driver to put onto a thumb drive ....but it shows driver for a 64 system? is that because I'm on a 64 system? and when I try to cut and copy the EXE to the thumb drive it say if you copy it you will not get all the something or other... any idea's?

I could not get HP support it literally ran me in circles  ( this speaks volumes about HP and their customer service... I mean it was a brand spanking new printer) so I hired an IT guy who was able to download the drivers and software from one computer onto a thumb drive and load it onto my old computer. it's now working fine too bad HP didn't make it plug and play.

thank you for trying Praveenbv
